Borislava Callan was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She holds a degree with honors in Art History from Tulane University, New Orleans, USA. She is the creative director and owner of Callan Contemporary – one of the leading galleries for contemporary art in New Orleans, Louisiana, specializing in abstract paintings and sculpture by international artists.

She also practices as an art consultant for private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe.

She is the publisher of numerous fine art catalogs and three 200-plus page books on internationally recognized American artists.
