Pre-audition of audio-visual recordings submitted by the candidates and selection of the finalists in the two categories \u2013 A and B \u2013 <strong><strong>from 21 May to 10 July 2025.<br \/><\/strong><\/strong><p>The results from Round 1 will be announced by <strong>15 August 2025<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li>ROUND 2: Live concert performance by the finalists from the two categories \u2013 A and B \u2013 and selection of the winners \u2013 <strong>15 September 2025<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Sofia, Grand Concert Hall of the \u201cProf. Pancho Vladigerov\u201d National Academy of Music, 18:00h EET (17:00h CET).<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><h3>Terms of the Competition<\/h3><h4>Age categories:<\/h4><ul><li>Category \u0410 &#8211; from 13 to 16 years old;<\/li><li>Category B &#8211; from 17 to 20 years old;<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Requirements for the<\/strong> <strong>audio-visual recordings for Round 1:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Unedited audio-visual recording of the candidate\u2019s performance;<\/li><li>Duration of the audio-visual recording:<ul><li>Category A \u2013 up to 15 minutes<\/li><li>Category B \u2013 up to 20 minutes<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Content of the audio-visual recording \u2013 two musical pieces or parts thereof \u2013 of the candidate\u2019s choice;<\/li><li>The two musical pieces have to be written by different composers;<\/li><li>The recording has to be shot in high definition (HD) sound and picture (preferably 1920 x 1080) and must not be edited. The camera has to be within 5 meters of the piano, positioned so that the candidate\u2019s face, hands and feet can be seen throughout the entire performance;<\/li><li>After submitting your request to <a href=\"https:\/\/vyankoff.com\/wp-admin\/_wp_link_placeholder\">www.vyankoff.com<\/a>, you will receive instructions for submitting the video to a dedicated platform.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Requirements for the selected finalists for Round 2: <\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Perform one or more pieces or parts thereof of the candidate\u2019s choice. The pieces must be <u>different<\/u> than those which the candidate submitted in Round 1.<\/li><li>The duration of the performances should be max.:<ul><li>for Category A \u2013 10 min.<\/li><li>for Category B \u2013 15 min.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Prepare one piece or part thereof with a duration of up to 5 min. which shall be performed in case the candidate wins and is awarded the Ventsislav Yankoff Scholarship in Category A and Category B (it is allowed this piece to be one of those that the candidate submitted in the audio-visual recording).<\/li><\/ul><h4>Registration:<\/h4><ul><li>To apply in this competition, please submit your <a href=\"https:\/\/vyankoff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/V.Y.-FONDATION-Competition-2025-EN-v1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" subject to a written scholarship agreement for the development of the young musicians and shall be accounted to the Ventsislav Yankoff Foundation in a summary financial report as expenses related to tuition fees, fees for attending master classes, fees for the participation in other musical competitions and other costs directly related to the development of the pianist. <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>The scholarships are paid in two tranches within the period of 2 years.
